Title: Wyatt's 'I lead a life unpleasant': Text and Interpretation
Authors: Daalder, Joost
Keywords: Renaissance poetry
Issue Date: 1988
Publisher: Oxford University Press
Citation: Daalder, Joost 1988. Wyatt's "I lead a life unpleasant": Text and Interpretation. 'Notes and Queries', vol.35, no.1, 29-33.
Abstract: In this article, Daalder discusses how many editors have wrongly tampered with the text of "I lead a life unpleasant", found in the most authoritative Wyatt manuscript (Egerton MS 2711 in the British Library), so as to make it significantly different from its original as a result of a misinterpretation of the sense.
