| Abstract: | In this article, Daalder's intention is to consider the question whether the poems in Egerton MS 2711 are in chronological sequence. The question is, after all, one of considerable importance. If the poems are in chronological order, we would have an opportunity for studying Wyatt's development as a poet, while otherwise that opportunity is denied to us (no primary source other than E is considered to offer it). Daalder therefore examines the relevant evidence here. |
