| Citation: | Dooley, Gillian 2003. Review of "Fantastic Street" by David Kelly. 'Writers’ Radio, Radio Adelaide', broadcast on 10 October 2003. |
| Abstract: | David Kelly, in his first novel "Fantastic Street", gives us an idea of the perils of standing out or being different in a conservative society. Also, perhaps, some of the thrills. The main character, Alex, spends his childhood as one of a diverse tribe of children living in various parts of Queensland. "Fantastic Street" traces the issues and emotions that Alex confronts throughout his less than conventional life. |
