Why study Spanish?

Spanish is the official language of 21 countries and is predicted to be the most widely spoken language in the Western World after English. Not surprisingly, Spanish is one of the official languages of the United Nations. Spanish is also an important trading language in the Asia Pacific region.

Spanish is offered as a major within BA Degree at Flinders and Adelaide Universities; as a major withing the BIB, BIS and BEd Degrees at Flinders University, as a fulfilment for the requirements of the Diploma in Languages at Flinders and Adelaide Universities and as part of the broadening undergraduate education requirements at the University of South Australia.
