The acceptability of participating in data linkage research: research with older Australians
MetadataShow full item record
Currently, 15% of Australians are older than 65 years of age and, by 2031, almost 20% will be aged over 65.1 In Australia, $14.8 billion is spent annually on aged care services.2 Since the population is ageing, gaining a greater understanding of the service utilisation and health outcomes of the older population is essential in developing interventions and improving healthcare. To achieve this, we could better use administrative data that is already routinely collected.
