Opening of "Sturt House"

Child care has always been politically controversial. Of all the States except Tasmania, South Australia has the highest proportion of mature age students commencing as undergraduates. Most (55%) of new mature age students are women. Over the past decade male mature age commencements have risen by 5%, but female numbers have grown by 45%. The rise of more mature age students, greater pressures on educational achievement, economic stresses, and a rapidly changing future signifies that educational institutions must make great efforts to be as user friendly as possible.
