Crime is the result of complex changes in economic, social and cultural factors such as unemployment, dysfunctional families, child abuse, poor education, community breakdown economic inequality and substance abuse. Compared to many countries, Australia is a reasonably safe place. Most Australians can go about their daily lives with little chance of their becoming the target of a criminal attack. The presentation covers the causes, affects and preventive strategies of various types of fraud.
